As we move on to Ordinary time, the message of the last three weeks lingers in our hearts. Truly, we cannot separate the crib from the cross, love from self-surrender. At the heart of this tension lies the Heart of the Universe, open and vulnerable. The Heart of the Child reveals the Heart of the Savior. Only Mary held these truths within her own Immaculate Heart as she watched and pondered. Kneeling with her at the crib and at the cross, let us hold the truth of God's love to our own hearts and wonder anew.
